The first would be that I only have a short time in the city and I want to maximize what I see. Tours can be particularly useful for giving you a nice over view of popular attractions. Which would lead to my second reason for taking a tour – now that I have a good over view of the city I can choose where I want to spend my in-depth time. My last reason for taking a tour would be that I am traveling alone. The group interaction is an added plus for the single traveler.
